ABC Kenya

Changes in Kenya

Pastor Samuel Ingimarsson, board member of ABChildren's Aid and his wife Asta Juliusdottir have from May 8th, 2015 taken over as leaders of ABC Kenya. They worked with ABC for a year in Nairobi, from 2012-2013 and know the operation very well.

The board decided to trust Pastor Samuel and Asta to lead the work in Kenya following the retirement of Thorunn Helgadottir. Thorunn and her husband, Samuel Lusiru Gona, have worked for ABC in Kenya from 2006. The board thanks them for their work.

In 2015  a new floor will be built to the ABC school in Nairobi. The funding comes from the yearly fundraising Children-help-Children in Iceland.

Improvements to our site

We have great news as we have now finished improvements to our site so you can now go online and sponsor a child via PayPal in the USA. By simply clicking on the tap above Sponsor a child or by visiting ABC Children's Aid USA you can now find a child that needs your support.

This will make it much easier for you who have wanted to support our great work.

Testimonies from two of our students

Two of our students met up with our staff, Sammi and Ásta and discussed with them how their lives have changed during the past years by attending school with the help of ABC Childrens Aid Kenya.

All for love concert

The wall of Canaan running tall in the middle of Nairobi suburbs (Kariobangi North) was fully packed with music aficionado. Inside the ABC Children’s home was an array of Gospel music celebrities along with hundreds of children and adults, all anxiously waiting for a kick off to the much anticipated concert.

The Vision of ABC Children’s Aid is to give:

  • Street children a shelter and later a permanent home in an ABC village.
  • Poor children opportunity to go to school.
  • Sick children an access to medical care.
